Who is your favourite Hero? - NZFortress

State what hero you like to play the most, and maybe a reason as to why. Will be interesting to see what heroes people favour.

Mine atm is: Defiler

Ok I've only being playing this game for a week or so, so my choice is likely to change once ive played all the heroes, but this hero seems rather good at delivering the pain from a distance.

Runner ups are:

Blood Hunter: Completely lethal to those who let themselves drop too low

Thunderbringer: Stops people making it back to the fountain on critical health

Wildsoul: Havent played this guy yet, but been up against him a few times, and that bear is bullshit.

Just a lil tip, because hes ranged abyssal skull is kinda useless. Also hack and slash will stop his web slow from working. marchers, slash (for speed), wingbow etc all pretty good

Soul Stealer is my favourite, the ability to blink in and do 900 damage aoe then proceed to scat on everyone's dreams, picking them off while they all try to amble away because you're chucking nuclear warheads like they're candy.

i was playing a healer last night, the shaman dude.. forgot his name :\

his first ability is healing wave and when you heal someone it damages anyone that's near him.

very fun playing a support hero, i must admit range damage heroes are more fun for me though. Can't really stand Str/Melee

Defiler does quite a bit of damage, but doesnt have that much health, need to learn decent builds for her/it

we get .3 of a second (not factoring in ping) to interupt your ulti if you stun then ulti.

that delay is not a bug. its a fix that brings magmus into line with dotas sand king. you need to get a portal key to get full effect of his ult, as intended to stop it from being op to hell

yeh, a shrunken head would negate his ulti, but it ends up only being 5s once you've used it 5 times (right?) so you could just bait it as him doing the stun then the person would prob be like "oh shit" and hit shrunken head then you just wait it out with auto attacks + imp marchers or go straight into the steam vents (unless that person has a stun etc) then when it wears off portal key and ulti. that would probably only work once though. But yeh a Shrunken head would pretty much negate all his abilities, he still hits like a truck though with a runed axe. Then he could portal key away if need be?

As far as I can tell, pretty much every hero has a counter in an item. But there's always counters to the counter, or escapes. It seems pretty balanced even with overpowered heros.

Like the Arachna Snare is broken as shit, yet you can get a Shrunken head, remove it, then imp marchers away from the little spider.
