Looking at the Pre-Order bonuses, a 5th class ? A key to what appears to be a super rare loot chest, and an item that helps you find stuff or at least increases value of loot dropped ?

The Golden guns will be the same as every Pre Order, early over powered, but rubbish pretty soon into the game.

EDIT: MightyApe has NZ PreOrder Rights, and its $90. Guess that goes in the same box as Skyrim, overpriced.

It was shit but I still played it heaps and heaps, heh. I was never able to work out why either.

I think I'll give this a go because, although the first was shit, I'm pretty sure it was still a lot of fun.

Maya looks pretty interesting to me. Lots of skills that go nuts when you have someone phaselocked, combined with the skill that makes the phaselock keep targeting people.

Play the worst character so you get some challenge?

They can all be rolled as offense or defense. Looks from the play through footage to be a vastly superior game to the first one. I hope so I bought this and was meh about the first game tbh.

The first one was 99% FPSRPG, only small arenas you could fight with the other 3 members on your game.

Pretty much expecting this one to be the same.

After going through those skill trees I'm going Zero or Axton. Axton cos my first b-lands character was Roland, and his skill tree looked like you could change up the turrets in pretty cool ways. But it quickly became apparent that I can make a melee focused Zero and that sounds pretty fun, just add a pistol or two to soften up the enemies on the way in.

sal looks like he is going to be the best based off his ST. Whoever has the heaviest damage output and hp usually is

I will be playing Salvador or Maya for first run thru. I never really paid those two classes much attention in the first game. Dual wielding looks like a heap of fun, and the whole phaselock thing looks like a good way to get out of a jam.
Soooo glad I got my new Logitech wireless 9 button mouse a few months back. I think I will invest in one those gamepads too, with the hand rest, and thumbwheel, and macro recording whatcha-ma-callit stuff.

The whole s8 team use ts3 a lot, for all the games we play, we would be very keen to tee up some games with you.

I think our official plan is to get into the game SP first, for a week or 3, before we start any major co-op games, simply becaus the guys tell me the first borderlands was a buggy horror to play, and needed lots of updates and patches, but we will play that by ear.

I think s8 has a team of 4 formed, being me, leadcollector, zephyr and Judge, but I am pretty sure I won't be limiting myself to one play thru, and will likely have 2 or 3 going concurrently and would be keen to team up with you and a couple of others.

Basically it unlocks a crate that contains lots of purple items, but they're scaled to your player level so the longer you wait the better the items.
