MP plays like shit laggy / server stutters and also has some horrid mouse smoothing enabled.

However zombie + wager is all good

Apparently it's laggy because Activision have the default rates of the server set wrong (too low), causing issues. Unfortunately, the setting is uneditable by server providers, and they've had to petition Activision to 'release' (or whitelist, as they put it) the sv_maxrate command to enable GSPs to tweak their own servers.

Anyone got any issues with mouse lag on this? A mate of mine's asked me to take to a look. Figuring it's probably v'sync at this stage. His mouse is wired.

So I bought CO Black Ops and had a game last night.

The graphics are fucking terrible! I was pretty drunk so I'll have to give it another go tomorrow at some point but yeah, full specs (AA, res, 120Hz) and it looks muddy and grey and pretty bad.

The people that I was playing against were pretty useless too, heh.

Fingers crossed my experience tomorrow is better than last night..

COD4 was cool. Fuck the rest after that though. MW2 was so shit.

It's not going to be the same series now that some of the senior Devs have been forced to move on. The franchise will just be milked into the ground.

this ones campaign is actually pretty fun, except when the infinite spawns start happening. They're not even subtley implemented, its just clones of the exact same enemy doing the exact same thing moving to the exact same spot until you reach a certain point. Still, at least theres very few grenades, instead of thousands.

still better than mw2 and waw, so far. gameplay-wise, i mean. these games dont have plots, just flashing random images and colors between levels and annoying boring parts where people say over-dramatic things, as if you care.

I still get the 'stuttering' problem others are complaining about, ive pretty much put the game aside until it's fixed.

Rambo i've found that once you've played a map before the stuttering for that map is gone, perhaps the game just doesnt preload maps?

I bought the COD summer pack (2-5) during steam sale when it was on special for $25, just for the single player campaigns.

Already had CoD2 but played 4:MW and currently 5:WaW, was never going to bother with the MP after playing a little 4:MW MP and wasn't impressed at all

CoD for me has always been about SP campaigns, battlefield MP battles

I'll buy this and MW2 when they're on sale for the SP campaigns

Favourite CoD scene has to be 2 playing as the ruskies being forced onto the germans without weapons
