Unplug and start over plugging stuff in one by one.
PSU and power button first!

Take it apart, put it back together again. Worked for me ~2 months ago with the same problem. Usually RAM not seated correctly, an unplugged important component or unplugged speaker as stated above.

check all power connections, if its not starting up there is a problem with the power, also check cpu is in properly and, it could possibly be a few things...

remove cmos battery for 30 seconds. hit power twice and unplug from wall for 1 min to clear the caps. reseat battery and fire up NOTHING but cpu + ram + video + keyboard and hit DEL key. BIOS Screen = WIN

I'm assuming everything is plugged in properly, and that you have turned on the physical switch behind the PSU.
Is the PSU starting up at all? If its not, even for a second, unplug it and get a paper clip. Flatten out the paper clip, then stick one end in the end of the plug so it connects to the GREEN wire, then the other end to any hole which goes to a BLACK wire. This is an earth connection and is safe to do, it will force the PSU to start up. If the PSU does not turn on, then it is faulty. If it does, then reconnect and short out the PWR + - connector on your motherboard manually (instead of using a switch), and see if it comes on. If it does, then the case switch is faulty. If it doesn't, probably a motherboard fault (although keyword probably, I don't know what a PC does if you've munted the CPU, it beeps on RAM or video loss though). Edit: if PSU is turning on but nothing is happening, then this post is useless

I'd totally post suggestions but you've got enough here to keep you busy for a while.

I needed two power plugs plugged into my video card. Not just one.
