Christchurch LAN (TF2 Tournament?) - NZFortress

Hi Guys,

I am currently looking to get an idea of interest for a TF2 tournament in Christchurch at our next Got-LAN (15th – 17th of June - Tentative)

We have a big announcement for our LAN coming soon (days away), which should bring a boost in numbers for our next LAN. With this in mind we are considering running a few tournaments.

So:
Would you guys attend if we ran a TF2 tournament?

What sort of tournament would you like to see run? (ie rules, format etc).

6v6 is king, but unrealistic for this lan (maybe two teams tops)

maybe a 3v3 koth tournament (did ozf do this?)

or just 2v2 bball (lolwhut)

I can tell you we are moving to a new location, 1 room, much bigger with room for expanding.

This isnt the big announcement though, thats yet to come, I think people are going to like what they see.

i made a comment on the got-lan website about the date, i didnt realise until now that it falls on exam week for semester 1, i have a big ccnp route practical on the 18th :<
myself and alot of my friends wont be able to make it if that date is final, the weekend after would be more suitable

Cheers Combust, id say it'd most probably be the same for the CPIT.

I'll look into scheduling the LAN within the 25th of June - 6th of July break.

No promises, but we'll do what we can.

It’s here! Finally!

Got-LAN #32 will be held on the 29th of June, finishing on Sunday.

We have a new, larger venue, at Girls High School (directions to come shortly).

Snap are providing us with a 100Mbps UNMETERED internet connection for the weekend!

To top all this off, we now are 100% gigabit.

So, get time off work, buy that new PC and make sure you have the 29th booked!
