NZFL:2012 - Signups open

What's this crazy stuff? A new Competition at nzfortress? Damn right it is!

NZFL:2012 is a weekly ladder that runs eight weeks followed by a best of three between the teams with the highest win/losses, we then reset the ladder with the final placings from the previous rounds and do it all again.

The league is open to both New Zealand and Australian based teams and it is designed to give teams league matches every week across all the popular competitive maps in Australiasia.

Unlocks: To keep things uniform across the various Australasian leagues we are sticking with the excellent OWL7 unlocks list.

Maps: All of the popular competitive maps in our region are included in the 8 week league and near the end of each league we will ask clan leaders to cast their vote on map choices for the next one so we can keep the league fresh and up to date.

Ruleset: Before you sign up make yourself familiar with the NZFL:2012 Ruleset.

Australian? We don't discriminate! The only caveats we are imposing on Australian teams is that they need to registered on nzfortress with their ozfortress steamid in their profile, to ensure they can meet the designated start times as per section 2B in the ruleset and that their team can play on a New Zealand based Gamers United server should their opposition not want to play on an Australian Infinite or Gamers United server as per 5B in the ruleset.

Dammit Taffy, when I checked the ozfortress dates I was like yuss we can get this off to a good start, turns out there's a reason they didn't schedule anything in the next few weeks bar ultiduo

Seeding is totally random for the first week - I'm virtually drawing it out of a hat. So, if both Taffy and bonez agree I don't see a problem with putting their match first - makes minimal difference in the long run.
